    When the Ebenezer Avery house in Groton, Connecticut was in danger of being demolished for modern construction projects R, Stanton Avery purchased it and donated it to the Avery Memorial Association. When it was determined that the house should be moved the cost of the Project was shared between Avery and the Avery Memorial Association.
