While in school he supported himself by acting in radio dramas. He was Tarzan in the 1950's series. He appeared in one episode of the CBS Radio Mystery Theater. After acting on stage and television for a decade he turned to directing.
Nothing in the Dark. Among his many credits Lamont directed five episodes of "The Twilight Zone" including the 1962 episode "Nothing in the Dark" with Robert Redford.
