Ruth was an interior designer by trade when she entered a partnership with her husband and formed The Bigelow Tea Company. In 1945, inspired by an early Colonial recipe began working on a blend for a better cup of tea. Blending black tea with orange rind and sweet spices, she developed her first specialty tea. Ruth used her friends for taste testing.The new tea got it's name from their "constant comments". |
