  Biographical Information	Frank moved to Texas in 1887 and became the manager of the IOA ranch in Lubbock County. The IOA was owned by the Western Land and Live Stock Company. Major partner of that company was Frank's great Uncle Stillman Wheelock of Moline Illinois. When Still man died the company began selling off the ranch. Frank remained the manager until it was shut down in 1901. In 1889 Frank built the Nicolett Hotel. It contained 18 rooms and a restaurant. It was built about three miles north of the area that would become Lubbock, Texas. A less than a year later the entire hotel was moved on rollers into the area that would become Lubbock. Frank was one of the major founders of Lubbock. The meetings that were held to work on that founding were held at his hotel. In 1932 when he died he died just outside the hotel.
