1,115 unidentified World Trade Center victims were interred at the Ground Zero 9/11 memorial. A memorial for the Pentagon victims was established at Arlington National Cemetery. For those who could be identified the remains were handled per family wishes and their names are memorialized on the panels as a cenotaph.
