1,115 unidentified World Trade Center victims were interred at the Ground Zero 9/11 memorial. A memorial for the Pentagon victims was established at Arlington National Cemetery. For those who could be identified the remains were handled per family wishes and their names are memorialized on the panels as a cenotaph.
Panel N-1 9-11 Memorial David and his wife Lynn were returning from vacation on Cape Cod aboard American Airlines Flight 11. This was the first plane to hit the World Trade Center during the September 11 terrorist attack.
