Harold won a gold medal in Olympic decathlon and high jump at the 1924 Olympics in Paris, France. He is the only athlete ever to win gold in both the decathlon and an individual event. His 6' 6" high jump and his decathlon score both set a new world records. He worked as a high school teacher and coach. In 1937 he received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1937. |
