  	On September 1, 1692, Mary Parker was accused of witchcraft by 15-year-old William Barker Jr. It's unclear why she was targeted. On September 2, Mary Parker was arrested and examined by Judge Bartholomew Gedney, Judge John Hathorne and John Higginsons. Mary denied the charges and tried to explain that she was possibly being confused with another woman in town who had the same name. On September 17, 1692, she was found guilty and was sentenced to death. On September 22, 1692, Mary Parker along with seven other accused witches was hanged. On October 17, 1711, the Massachusetts legislature passed a reversal of attainder which cleared the names of some of the executed, including Mary Parker.
