  Birth	There has been speculation as to who Richard's parents were but, there has been no sources offered to back that up.
  Died	1643	Bronx, New York, New York
  	In 1643, settlers of the John Throckmorton group were driven from their homes in New York by an Indian uprising and many were killed. The rest escaped in a small ship. The next day Richard Maxson and his son Richard landed a boat at Throggs Neck, New York (the area now know as the Bronx) to get food and supplies. They were massacred by Indians. His wife and two children, Rebecca and John, resettled in Rhode Island.
