  		Thunderbirds T-38. Captain Veach flew a T-38 trainer while he was part of the Thunderbirds team. The twin seat training aircraft was pressed into service because of the fuel shortages of the late 70's. The trainer used less fuel that the single seat fighter planes traditionally used by the Thunderbirds. Another aspect unique to his time in the Thunderbirds was that the tail number was moved to the fuselage and, the tail was used to display the U.S.A bicentennial logo.
