  	Job was the largest land owner in Groton, Massachusetts and therefore a key part of Shay's Rebellion. He was arrested and charged with treason but, not before receiving a serious saber wound to the back of one knee. It was four days before he received proper medical attention and even a bed. It was four months before he was released from prison. He was tried, found guilty of treason and was sentenced to death. He spared when he was pardoned by Governor John Hancock. His wound left him crippled and for the rest of his life he had to walk with a crutch.
