Mortally wounded at the Battle of Ridgefield.

Battle of Ridgefield Medal. For it's bicentennial in 1977, the town of Ridgefield issued silver and bronze medals depicting General Benedict Arnold before he turned traitor and Major General David Wooster. The obverse depicts Arnold as his horse was shot out from under him. In 2002, for the 225th anniversary of the battle, the medal was restruck in bronze only. |
