When the Ebenezer Avery house in Groton, Connecticut was in danger of being demolished for modern construction projects R, Stanton Avery purchased it and donated it to the Avery Memorial Association. When it was determined that the house should be moved the cost of the Project was shared between Avery and the Avery Memorial Association. |

Ye Ebenezer Avery House. A post card depicting the Ebenezer Avery House. It was to this house the British brought the wounded after the Fort Griswold Massacre. In 1973-1975 the house was moved and restored. It was relocated from it's original location to the Fort Griswold Battlefield State Park. |
