  	While working with his father in Japan John invented the toy "Lincoln Logs". When he returned to the U.S. he formed the"Red Square Toy Company". The name inspired by the red square ceramic tile that his father used to brand a number of his buildings. In 1920 he was awarded a patent and he changed the company's name to "J. L. Wright Manufacturing" In 1999 Lincoln Logs and John Lloyd Wright were entered into the National Toy Hall of Fame.
