  Census	1880
1880 Butterfield. 1880 US census, Fort Harriman, Salt Lake, Utah, enumeration district 60, Family Number 20, Butterfield. Thomas had two wives both named Mary Jane. While the children counted in this census all belong to Mary Jane Farmer the age and birth place would point to Mary Jane Parker. Both wives were likely present but, by now societal pressures would have meant he had to hide his relationship to the all but one wife.
