Biographical Information |
His education was limited to the district schools. At the age of seventeen he went to Boston, but liked Vermont better, and returned two years later. In 1855 he married and settled on a farm. He was a Democrat in politics. He has repeatedly served the town as selectman and in other capacities, and in 1901 was the popular nominee of his party for representative. |
