  Thank You Note - March 8, 1934 This thank you note from L.G. Ott accompanied a box of candy that was presented to Miss Helen Engel for splendid work she did while working for the W. T. Grant department store in Davenport. L. G. Ott was the district manager of the western stores and his office was based out of Chicago. Helen lived at 2022 Davie street and she married Rollo Makoben who lived a few blocks away at 2520 Division street, on July 6, 1937. Rollo and his brother-in-law Fred Engel started the Makoben & Engel garage, 2025 Hickory Grove Rd. in 1939.
