| This was the day Dahmer's string of terror came to an end and he was arrested. He is known to have murdered 17 but, there could be more. Dahmer received 16 sentences of life in prison. He spent a year in solitary confinement out of concerns for his safety. He was released by his own request. In July 1994 there was an unsuccessful attempt on his life. November 28, 1994 a fellow inmate beat him to death. Per his own wishes he was cremated. His ashes were split and each of his divorced parents received half. |
