The Capitol commonly known as Palacio de las Leyes (place of laws) as seen from the Atlantic Ocean. Behind it is more of the city of San Jan and in front is the remains of Castillo de San Cristóbal (Fort San Cristóbal)which was built in 1758 and surrounded the entire city to protect it from land based attacks.
