Lieutenant Colonel Levi Brigham:

Notes:

A soldier of the Revolution. In 1763 he was one of the selectmen of Westborough, and held the same office in Northborough for 7 years. He was the sealer of leather. In 1757. The sealer of leather was the town officer who had authority to see that all sales of leather were made honestly as to quality and quantity. The sealer of leather was authorized to put his "seal" or stamp of approval on items he inspected, tested and certified. At the age of 41 years old, he was Cornet of the Shrewsbury Troop of Horse, commanded by Captain Benjamin Eager, attached to the 3d regiment of Militia of the counties of Middlesex and Worcester. He served as delegate from Northborough in the Provincial Congress during its 3 sessions. He was commissioned Lieut. Colonel in the 6th Worcester County regiment under Col. John Goulding and Major Job Cushing of Shrewsbury (later promoted to Colonel). In 1778 Col. Brigham received £27 from the town of Northborough for his services in the war since 19 Apr 1775.

He was a doctor, and is mentioned in the Diary of Rev. Ebenezer Parkman, as living with his brother-in-law, Breck Parkman, at different times. He was often at the parsonage, with Elijah, Moses and Samuel Brigham, to dine and to sing. He died unmarried
