Colonel Timothy Brigham:
Notes:
He inherited from his father an extensive farm in the east part of Northborough, the value of which he lost through the depreciation of Continental money after its sale. In extreme old age he was supported by the town. Although poor, he was received with profound respect, and entertained with free hospitality, wherever he called during life. In 1764 he was selectman of Westborough; in 1777, after the division of the town, selectman of Northborough. In 1775 he entered the Revolutionary army as Captain; was second in command under Captain Samuel Wood of Marlborough
of the company of Minute Men, which marched down to Cambridge on 19th of April, 1775, and which was in the battle of Bunker Hill, on the 17th of June following. He received £18 from the town for the first term of service.
