General Eleazar Wheelock Ripley:

Buried: St. Francisville, West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana

Notes:

He graduated from Dartmouth, and began a carreer in law and politics. In 1807, he was a member of the Massachusetts state house of representatives. Later he became a member of the Massachusetts senate. He Was a soldier in the War of 1812. The town of Ripley, Tippah, Mississipppi is named after him, as are other locales in the United States, including Ripley County, Indiana, and Ripley County, Missouri.
