Additional Information

Addington Munroe Brigham:

Notes:

He was educated in the schools of Marlborough Massachusetts. In 1864 he enlisted in Co. E. 5th Massachusetts Infantry and was stationed in Baltimore and vicinity during most of the service. Became a dairy farmer on the ancestral estate, which originally covered 175 acres. It has been occupied by Brighams ever since it was redeemed from the wilderness. It was the site of Captain Samuel Brigham's garrison house as stated on p. 109 of the History of Marlboro. Addington has served the town as Road Commissioner and the city of Marlboro as a member of the Common Council, of which he has also been president. He was a charter member of the Marlborough Grange and has held the leading offices in that and the District Grange. He is a member of the Grand Army of the Republic. He was a curator of the Brigham Family Association for many years, and was a member of the Publication Committee of the Brigham Family History.
