- Morrison never had a steady or monogamous relationship. He spent a lot of time throughout the years with Pamela. His will listed himself as unmarried and named Pamela as his sole heir.
Pamela was buried by her family as Pamela Susan Morrison.
Upon her death in 1974 her parents petitioned the court for inheritance of Morrison's estate. The probate court in California decided that she and Morrison had once had what qualified as a common-law marriage. Neither had applied for such status when they were alive and the common-law marriage not even recognized in California. Eventually the estates was split among the Coulson and Morrison families.
At the time of his death Morrison had several pending paternity suits. None of them made a claim against his estate.
