  		Lystrosaurus. Lystrosaurus was one of the earliest dinosaurs. It's small. About the size of a domestic cat. The first fossil was found in 1870 and named by Edward Cope. The name derived from Greek means "shovel lizard". In 1969 Edwin Colbert discovered a Lystrosaurus fossil in Antarctica. This helped to prove the concept of continental drift.
  		Gondwanaland. The theory of continental drift was first put fourth in 1596. It was rejected by most scientist until the late 1960's this was due to lack of evidence and little understanding of plate tectonics, the driving force of continental drift. Edwin's discovery of Lystrosaurus in Antarctica helped to show the spread of species through land that was once joined.
