Road to Fallen Timbers. August, 1794. On the Banks of the Maumee river, Ohio, General Anthony Wayne commanded the Army in battle against the British and their Native alies. His victory ended major hostilities in the region. The British were forced to withdraw from the southern Great Lakes Area. This allowed the new nation to expand into the Ohio Valley. |
