I the 1970 A house was built known as the General Tom Thumb House. The interior was scaled to meet the needs of his and his wife's stature of just over 3 feet.
The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993 but, few of it's miniaturized features have survived. |

Ironically this illustrates Minnie's greatest lament. People constantly wanted to hold or pet them. In her memoirs she wrote; "It seemed impossible, to make people understand at first that I was not a child..." |
