Johnson's Island. Johnson's Island is an island in Lake Erie, about 3 miles from the city of Sandusky, Ohio. During the Civil War it was the site of a Union prison camp. After the war it was abandoned. Little exists there now that reflects it's past except for the Confederate cemetery. |
