- Mr. Dillman has held many positions of trust and confidence during his long residence in Bangor, and nothing so forcibly portrays the confidence reposed in him than the fact that 21 different times he was elected to the office of supervisor of Bangor township, and although the town is strongly republican, he, a staunch democrat, was chosen year after year, until it became a custom in the past few years for the republicans to place no one against him on the ticket. His tax rolls were always models of neatness and accuracy, as he was keen in figures and one of the finest of penmen. Mr. Dillman has several times held the position of chairman of the board of supervisors of the county, and on two different occasions he has been chosen by the board to represent the county at the state board of equalization which meets at the state capitol every five years. He was also administrator of several estates and guardian of several minor children at the time of his death.
