From 1928 to 1936 she lived just outside Mansfield, Missouri in a home that became known as "the Rock Home".
It was built from plans for a Sears, Roebuck Company "Mitchell". Sears offered a kit to build the Mitchel but Laura wanted to build it from local materials.
In this house she wrote the first four books of the "Little House" series. |
