He apprenticed with the Boston architect Gridley James Fox Bryant. Then in 1866 he began work with John Hubbard Sturgis. This partnership lasted 20 years. One of their accomplishments was the design for the original Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
Brigham went on to design the 1898 annex to the Massachusetts State House in Boston, the 1906 The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, and many residential buildings and he designed the Watertown, Massachusetts town seal. |
