Notes |
- Mrs. Otto Nagel of this city (Colby, Wis.), died Friday morning Nov. 10, 1918, at 3:15 a.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, of splenic leukemia, after an illness of several weeks.
Mrs. Nagel was born in the town of Meerne, Manitowoc Co., Wis., Feb. 27, 1869, and was married to Otto Nagel sixteen eyars ago. She came to Clark County, Wis. with her husband and family in Sept. 1908 and they lived on a farm in the town of Mayville until they moved to this city about three years ago. Since coming here Mrs. Nagel has been held in the very high esteem of her neighbors and friends who will greatly miss her and deeply sympathize with those she leaves behind.
She is survived by her husband and four children, Mrs. Ed Bertram of Marion Wis., and Gustav, Alfred and Emma at home, and four stepchildren, Udo, August and Arthur in the service in France, and Mrs. Herman L. Tesmer of Colby, seven brothers: Gustave Eckhardt of Kiel, Fred, Ferdinand and Herman of Sheboygan, Henry of Howard's Grove, Louis of the town of Herman, Sheboygan Co., and Oscar of Great Falls, Mont., and one grandchildren, Iona Bertram.
The funeral was held from St. John's Evangelical church in this city Tuesday afternoon and the burial took place in the Colby cemetery, Rev. A Peper officiating.
