 | Adams Family Homes John Quincy Adams was born in 1767 in the seventeenth-century Braintree farmhouse on the left, next to the house in which his father had been born in 1735. John Adams later owned both of these buildings, ten miles south of Boston, on the busy Plymouth Road. After the death of his father, John Quincy kept both houses in the Adams family. They are now part of the Adams National Historical Park.
